... and here goes another one of our successfully rehabilitated Turtles together with the famous TV show 'The Great Outdoors'. 

Many of our hard-working volunteers, along with a large number of Fitzroy Island guests were able to enjoy Yertle, one of our Green Turtles,  going back into the wild after spending a few months in the old Rehabilitation Centre in Cairns, and a few weeks in the new tanks on Fitzroy Island.

Another Release of a Green Turtle that was found near Fitzroy Island a few months ago.

She was very relaxed and swam off at a nice pace, diving beautifully and not even looking back.

This shows us how important it is to respect our environment and actively work to repair damage that we have caused. 

On the 1st of June we released this 150kg Turtle from Cowley beach.

It didn't take her long to move her massive body back into her natural habitat. 

We attached a Tracker to follow her movements.
