Angie was recently taken out to her new home at Fitzroy Island. Initially Angie was quite snappy at the change in environment, but settled in happily after some food.
We moved her out to Fitzroy as the water temperature there is closer to that of her natural habitat in Cape York.
Angie has injuries to her skull and upper shell, which is usually caused by dropping out of a trawling net onto the deck of a boat. Angie is also a long term patient with the 'floaters' disease.
Lets hope her new home will help her to fully recover.
Angie has joined Yertle on the island, who is doing well and will soon be ready for release.
